Introduction

Original art work, color swatches, galley proofs(?), and other materials related to the Atlas of Avian Hematology, 1961, are contained in this collection. One notebook contains detailed notes on avian anatomy, including organs, ligaments, muscles and nerves, with source from a period 1904-1940. Ten undated, unidentified printer's plates which appear to depict blood or tissue cells and may be associated with lymphocytes are also enclosed. Three German-language publications, a list of poultry theses presented for advanced degrees in U.S. between 1896 and 1950, and a copy of the proceedings from Avian Leukosis Conference, April 25-26, 1962 are also included.
