A member of the American Poultry Society's Poultry Hall of Fame, Dr. Martin served as head of the Poultry Department at Purdue University for 22 years (1940-62) as well as a Professor of Poultry Science at the University of Kentucky for 21 years (1917-1938). During 1938-40 he was Director of the USDA Regional Poultry Research Laboratory in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The material in this collecion presents a partial summary of Dr. Martin's career and his many accomplishments in the field of poultry science.
