This collection contains many articles pertaining to the mission of the USDA Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service in the Plant and Animal Production, Protection and Processing Division at the State, Regional and National levels during the 1980's and 1990's. Much of the material is related to poultry workshops and symposia and includes their planning, locations, publicity, programs, speakers, proceedings and the follow-up of recommendations made by the participants.

Many of the poultry programs established by individual State Extension leaders for poultry industry and allied members are included. The activities of a number of regional Cooperative Extension programs, along with their goals and achievements are part of the collection. Various 4-H activities are also included.

Trade and poultry Breed Associations functions, along with the programs developed by this segment of the poultry industry, including material and brochures from commercial poultry breeders and hatcheries round out this collection.
