Similar publications contain information on egg quality and grading (1900-1906), washing market eggs (1943-48), seasonal effects on egg quality (1938-48) and the purchasing habits of egg consumers (1937-53). A confidential report on the New York City poultry industry and the role of racketeers and unions (1935), and compilation of regional and state egg marketing programs (1929-31) and foreign egg grading standards (1932) give an insight into early industry programs and problems.The collection includes personal correspondence with industry, academic, and government leaders (1920-55).

William Dewey Termohlen was an employee of Iowa State University, the USDA, and the Foreign Agricultural Service.
